Walter, I agree that we need to do something for the Dependency Table to make it work. I see in your BIRD 124.1 draft that you define several predefined AMI parameters and one of them is "[Corner]": "[Corner]" is a predefined AMI parameter of Type Corner that can be used to create an input column in a Dependency Table. Its column shall have Type Corner. Its allowed values are Typ, Slow and Fast. This is perfectly OK (aside from the question of perhaps using a better name for it to avoid confusions with "Format Corner"). What I was picking on was that you defined this predefined parameter as "Type Corner" in your BIRD draft, which is incorrect, because there is no such Type currently in the spec. If this can only be done through a "Type Corner", your BIRD has to define that new "Type" (which I don't see in your BIRD yet). The 5.0 specification only defines the following types on pg. 140: Also, "Corner" is defined as "Format": If you want to call "Corner" a "Type", we will have to define it as such. If Bob's Table syntax BIRD uses the word "Type" incorrectly, we will need to change that BIRD draft too. But as far as I can tell, Bob's BIRD draft is correct, because the point there is to allow one or more Types (Float, Integer, String, Boolean, UI) for the columns of the table. Please let me know if I am missing something... The new Table syntax says that one needs a Type for each column. This is a special case that we can discuss. The alternative is to make the user do something like: (My_Corner (Corner "typ" "min" "max") (Type String) (Usage Info) (Description "Parameter to be used in Dependency Tables")) The Dependency Table would have a column "My_Corner In", instead of [Corner]. I can live with either method. There is no such thing as "Type Corner". You mentioned that twice. There is "Format Corner" only... This is a clear improvement in the syntax. Walter Walter Katz wkatz@xxxxxxxxxx Phone 303.449-2308 Mobile 720.333-1107
