consecutive three-year terms.
Please remember that candidates and their nominators must be current IASL
members.

*IASL BOARD NOMINATIONS 2022*

IASL is soliciting nominations for a number of positions on the Executive
and Board.  You can download the 2022 Nominations Form by visiting
https://iasl-online.org/IASL-Nomination-Form/.  The deadline for all
applications is 1 April 2022.

*Nominations are being called for the following positions: *

*Executive Committee Positions:*

   - President
   - Vice President, Advocacy and Promotions
   - Vice President, Association Relations

*Regional Director Positions:*

   - Regional Director: Africa (Region 1)
   - Regional Director: North America (Region 3)
   - Regional Director: Europe (Region 6)
   - Regional Director: North Africa/Middle East (Region 7)
   - Regional Director: Oceania (Region 8)

*Criteria for nominees:*

   - Have an interest in promoting the goals and objectives of IASL;
   - Be able to fulfill the role and responsibilities for the position
   under consideration as outlined in the Procedures & Guidelines (Handbook of
   Organization);
   - Have been a member of IASL for at least two years with membership
   fees current at time of nomination (current student or retiree members not
   eligible);
   - Demonstrate effective leadership in local or national associations
   or institutions in his/her country;
   - Willingness to attend IASL conferences and related meetings;
   - Understand that individuals must pay their own expenses to
   conferences and/or related meetings; and
   - Willing to supply a biographical sketch and position statement which
   may be used for information purposes to the membership during the election
   process.

Additionally, the nominator's and the seconder's membership fees must be
current.

Think about the people you might like to nominate for these positions and
think about nominating yourself. The nominees for the Director positions
should be a resident in the region to be represented, and should understand
that the representation is for the entire region, irrespective of national
boundaries. All positions are for three years, 2022-2025. To learn more
about the Director positions, visit the General IASL policies page under
Regional Representation on the Board.

Note that *nominations close 1 April 202**2*. Candidates will be
announced in the next newsletter following that date. Nominations should be
submitted by mail, or email (see below for the address information).

IASL Secretariat, PO Box 684, Jefferson City, MO 65102 USA by email to
iasl@c2cpro.solutions.
