Slackware 8 you have to use the XSETup or Xconfigure utility. I downloaded some files on how to configure sound on it. In the latest Pournelli article at www.byte.com, he pointed out that Slackware wasn't for beginners. You should have a book on Xconfigure and sound set up before you try that one. Speaking of CONFIGURE, the program, is there a universal one for all TAR type files?
