I would assume so as well. The funeral is at a papist church and members
of that sect still tend to treat suicide as a shameful item that has to be
covered up and kept a family secret. Same treatment for a friend of that
persuasion who offed himself in the 9th grade (though in that case, it fit
the classic profile of autoerotic asphyxiation which to a Catholic family
might be more shameful that suicide by hanging in the shower).

Based on the deafening silence regarding a cause, I'll guess he exited via
the Ticonoff method (whom I miss very much). If so there's no shame in
that; we all have our own demons we're fighting.
