Hey,
The directions are fairly hard to explain but it is off of Rivermont
Av. There is enough parking for at least one car but to access the reservoir
you have to walk along the train tracks. There are signs that say it is off
limits but I have had no problem in the past couple years of anyones stopping
me or anyone in the club. Train traffic is very minimal during the winter, and
they usually go through at night. It’s not a hotspot on eBird but I’m sure if
you search up Tundra Swan or Mallard on eBird and look at that part of the
James you will be able to see how to get there.

Thanks for sharing Logan!
The reservoir doesn't show up on the map and isn't a hotspot. Is there public
access?
Thanks,
Evan

At around noon today my friend George and I were birding around Reusen’s dam
in Lynchburg looking for ducks. It was a great day for waterfowl, here are
some of the highlights…
Tundra Swan 1
Northern Pintail 1
American Black Duck 20
Gadwall 33
Wood Duck 1
Bufflehead 4
Ruddy Duck 2
Pied-billed Grebe 7
Horned Grebe 1
Bald Eagle 2
The eagles were diving at the ducks and flushing them into the air only to
chase them. I attached the checklist below with pictures of the swan and
pintail.
