Reusens Dam is on the James River on the Lynchburg / Amherst County line,
upstream from downtown Lynchburg. The "reservoir" is a slightly wider area
of the James above the dam. You can access it off Trents Ferry Road in
Lynchburg (Google "Hydro Street"). Lynchburg birders have birded there
occasionally since at least the 1970s. Logan can probably speak better to
current safety & parking issues than me.

The eagles were diving at the ducks and flushing them into the air only
