As much as this may seem counter intuitive, it is good news....
Intermittent problems are hard ( and very $$$) to fix as possible solutions
are tried out at customer expense.
Once it is truly "broken", the real source becomes obvious..... and the fix
is enacted.
From a problem with an intermittent car fuel injection component...... $2000
expended on intermittent "solutions" and finally the $12 relay was replaced
to fix the problem.....after it finally did fail.

This failure had some warnings over the last several weeks when the
shutter wouldn't fire for one or two times, then it would return to
working normally. Then last week it stopped firing completely and
hasn't since.
