Mark,

You find A16S backs useful?
Excellent make the most of it.
What I object to is somebody telling me what I should do.

If Q and you want to save all A16S backs be my guest,
as long as you do not tell me what I should do with mine.

Well if we are all going to follow our own way then some of us would not
find the A16S backs to be of little use -
Some of our own ways would be to find the A16S backs to be of great use.
and I would be one one of those people. As I've said on the list many times
in many ways.

Everybody has to follow his own way.
A16S backs are of little use.
That is one of the reasons they are often found in as new condition.
If I were to make trannies they would be 6x6 size not the 4x4
Mickey Mouse size.

It is perfectly allright to turn useless A16S backs into A16 backs
that serve a purpose.

They are an excellent source for parts or will make a very good A16

I see we got stuck in in repeat-mode.
So here goes:

An A16 is also a nice source for parts an A16 may need.
Also cheap. And, compared to A16S backs, positively abundant.
So why reduce the numbers of A16S backs that are out there to fix a more
common A16? Don't!
