I suppose the Haiku statistics is heavily distorted by imports of third party software. We have for instance two instances of the gcc and binutils mosters in our repository. The GNU utils, gdb etc. should weigh in for quite a bit, too. This would also explain, why most of the files in the repository are GPL licensed. I find it fascinating though, that the total value increased significantly since yesterday. Considering who committed stuff in the last 24 hours, I wouldn't mind getting my due share of those 4 million bucks. ;-)
Which is of course one of the major benefits of OSS - the ability to build from others' work... Of course, it's not like a commercial OS developer would ever create their own compiler to build and distribute for their OS -- oh wait... Would be interesting if ohloh allowed the stats to be broken out by any given SVN branch
