You don't need to build everything in order to test the kernel and its test applications. All you need to do it: $ jam boot_floppy Everything under this target should build without any errors. Since it does work on Bochs 2.0.2 here, and also "ls -al" does work, I would guess there is still something wrong with your build, although I don't know what it could be. I could send you a floppy image to test that with your equipment - if that would work, it's your build. Bye, Axel.
