I don’t think, that it is possible. And if it possible, is it worth? Is this
thing really beta blocker? Is there anybody who still using A4.1?
The boot loader have been changed, the file system structure drastically
changed, so this updater should take all the old files and delete them, and
then create the new directory structure, put the files in the correct place and
then update the boot loader.
I think was not planned to be able to update from A4.1 to PM.

The web site still directs people to alpha 4.1 on the “Get Haiku!” page,
though at least the page now tries to direct people to the
nightly/development build.
