[openbeos] Could not open application 'x' with application 'x' (not an executable)

I get this:
Could not open application 'x' with application 'x' (not an executable)
quite a bit...
For instance,
I installed Opera from a Be formatted disk onto Haiku's disk (disk image) in
Vmware, and also copied the Vision binary over.
Both applications worked fine, but when I restart the machine, they no
longer work, and I get the above error. Is this a bug?
