No, it hasn't been reworked yet.
If you want to checkin the source, I would recommend this instead:
preferences/
Workspaces/
That is, you'll have to make a new 'preferences' folder at the top
level. This way, we have a standard place for all the preference apps.
Plus it matches all the other teams which have corresponding top-level
folders.
