I don't think we need to do that, we just need to be smarter about
coming up with the size, and then write that to the settings file.

It also needs to take into account the size of the disk and the
available space on the disk.

I commented in that ticket with all the fixes I think are needed.
There are several other related bugs. If we start fixing this one we
should just fix them all.
