Since the commit mailing list is still dead (we should do something
against that, though, like switching to another host):

Not sure this is a good idea. While they aren't strictly necessary,
they are quite useful for interoperability with other operating
systems. For those that didn't read the changeset: it removes the .wav
suffix from the audio files exported by CDDA.
