What about moving to a tabs-based AboutSystem, and split general, credits and, *a new*, details tabs where such gcc hybridation details could be displayed? The AboutSystem window could reduce a bit his screen estate in the process, making it looks less bloated... I'm not in general to hide info into command line tools that only advanced users will know, and I feel that user support will be more happy to ask "what's displayed in AboutSystem, tab Details, ABI field?" than "open a Terminal... sorry, open the leaf menu, goes to apps, select Terminal, then type sysinfo and hit return, okay? do you the line where it says ABI? ...
