There are at least three distinct tool tip bugs. All of them have tickets, AFAIK. Axel mentioned the one I worked around in WebPositive, I'd have to look it up in the code (the tab manager). Something to do with changing the tool tip text not working unless you SetToolTip(NULL) before.
The other tool tip bugs are unrelated. One bug is that a scheduled display of a tool tip will not be aborted when the view for the tool tip has meanwhile been hidden. The other is that already showing tool tips are not hidden when the view (or one of its parents) is hidden.
