It should resize to fit the list items. I hope we'll be able to reap the fruits of Ingo's work on automatic layout resizing. In Windows XP? Sure, it looks nice, (Windows' trying to look like the web), but the way the list moves when selecting/deselecting (growing/ shrinking items) always confuses me.
