Nevermind, I'll just modify the existing haikuports recipe.
I think I'll proceed like this:
1. Modify the haikuports recipe to create the global writable link in
/home/config/settings
2. Update the midi kit code to look for the synth first in
/home/config/settings/synth/system.sf2 and as a fallback
in /system/data/synth/big_synth.sy so that you can replace the system font
just by changing the link.
3. update the modified soundfont and upload it somewhere (haikufiles ?),
modify the recipe to point at this new location.
Actually point 3 could be done first.
4. (but I won't do that, at least not in the foreseeable future) Create a
midi preflet, or integrate it in the media preflet, to be able to choose a
given soundfont.
