#5250: Unable to change resolution - vm86_do_int failed ------------------------------+--------------------------------------------- Reporter: thetick | Owner: nobody Type: bug | Status: new Priority: normal | Milestone: R1/alpha2 Component: Drivers/Graphics | Version: R1/Development Keywords: | Blockedby: Platform: All | Blocking: ------------------------------+--------------------------------------------- Comment(by gerald.zajac): I wrote the ATI video driver, and have an IBM Thinkpad A22p which has the same video chip that you have on your computer; however, the display on the A22p is 1600 x 1200. Nevertheless, I'm unable to duplicate your problem on the A22p. That is, I can successfully set resolution 1280x1024 in all color depths (8, 15, 16,& 32 bpp) on my computer. Have you tried any color depths other than 15 bpp? Have you looked at the beginning of the syslog where the VESA modes are listed to see if 1280 x 1024 x 15 is listed there? The ATI driver uses the VESA code to set the mode when the laptop's display is the active display, and uses it's own code when an external display is the active display. What is the make and model of your laptop computer? -- Ticket URL: <http://dev.haiku-os.org/ticket/5250#comment:1> Haiku <http://dev.haiku-os.org> Haiku - the operating system.
