Hi DarkWyrm, > While I realize that it's about a month away, what kinds of ideas do > you guys have for demos? Also, seeing that I have no hope in keeping up > with you gentlemen in the amount of server code flying and refactoring, > what parts are still missing? I think the current problems are a) stability and b) robustness of the implementation. By the later, I mean that there is lots of ways to do the same thing using the APIs. All of them need to work, not just a few, so that much more apps work (and display) fine. Than, pretty much anything is possible as a demo. In one month, there is a good chance that Tracker and Deskbar will work quite well, which is of course one of the nicest demos there can be for the Haiku project. :-) Hm... missing parts... Of course one good way to see what's missing and where to help is to simply try some random app under Haiku and investigate the cause of something not working. The BPicture support should be broken right now, maybe some particular apps don't work because of that. But I'm sure there is more. Also, there is lot's of TODOs in the code about loading and saving setting files for various things. Fonts and Screen prefs are the most obvious. Best regards, -Stephan
