Yes, very familiar with ExOne. They were less than 0.5 miles from my last
residence, where I lived for many years.
They are very expensive, but they only do small stuff. No clock sized
printing, unless you want normal size clock.
And if that's the case, it's cheaper to machine one, unless you just want
to say your clock is completely 3D printed.
Really? What we have couldn't do a deadbeat pallet? It's just a solid
shape, a V with some angles to the edges of the
V tops, with a pivot hole. Seems dead simple for a 3D printer to me, but of
course, would not be as stiff or durable
as 3D printed metal. Still, I'm the guy that always overengineers
everything, because I can (& I'm not Alex), but even
I say that's overkill.

With what is in the shop that can't do support printing. It is not cheap
in the slightest, but Shapeways/ExOne can 3d print some amazing things in
metal. Even in plastic they can manage this:
