Hi Folks

Has anybody out there moved house recently and if so, did everything go
according to plan? I'm right in the thick of it at the moment and it's a total
nightmare. Although I've had the flat for about three weeks, I haven't yet
moved in, due to circumstances beyond my control.

First of all, the gas needed switching on. However, when the man arrived two
days later, he discovered that the boiler needed replacing so off he went to
make the necessary arrangements. I received a call the next day informing me
that the new one was being installed in two days time. Fantastic, things were
moving at last and although it meant another 20 minute journey from where I
live at present, it would be worth it in the end.Once the work had been done
and the gas man went away, I thought the job was finished, silly me. Two days
later at about twelve o'clock, I received another call from the electrician
this time saying that he was on his way to connect the boiler and would be
there in about twenty minutes. Oh no, what was going on? I thought the gas
man had done that, the heat had been coming through when he was there. . It
turned out that He'd only plugged it in temporarily, until it could be wired in
permanently. Still, it's done now and at least the decorator's not freezing to
death while he's painting.

There's more yet but I think you've heard enough of my whittering for the
moment so I'll shut up for now.

By the way, I've still got some emails to reply to so if there's anybody out
there expecting a response from me, they're in my reply to emails folder. I'll
get round to them when I regain my sanity.

Best wishes.
