Vanessa. Good grief! It sounds as if your care package is even worse than some of the horror stories I've heard up here! I'm glad I'm mobile enough to use the bus service here - the bus stop is only ten yards from my front door. I can't stand for long periods, but at least I have some mobility. As far as care goes, the only help I can get is carers who do shopping for me twice weekly, and a little help with laundry. The rest, housework, etc, is up to me; that's partly why I moved to a smaller house two years ago. Looking back, I can't believe how I coped with the same package - while I was looking after my mum. We all get the strength we need to cope. I suppose, though, my biggest disability is the fact that I am male. MEN MUST NOT SHOP - IT MAY DAMAGE THEIR HEALTH. Trust me on that...
