Subject: [guide.chat] My stay at my daughter's

As you know I went to my daughters for the weekend, I took some bags of
contributions, like bags of jelly sweets, milky bars, bread, fruit, chocolate
fudge cake, creme eggs, my daughters favourite angel cakes, my grandsons
favourite cheese breadsticks, malted biscuits, chocolate digestives and all the
rest of the nicities.
I went in the disability bus which was pre booked.
The driver went the wrong way and a tiny bit lost but my son found him by
chance, as he was going to the nearby shop and got in the bus too and showed
him the way.
My son's friends were there waiting.
Yikes I thought here we go as I gripped the wheelchair arm and tried to think
of it will be all over soon.
The strong young lads and the driver all lifted me up the steps, I think all my
fingers two times, anyways lots of steps.
Half way up the steps the driver shouted tilt her back for christs sake I was
upside down, my back and the back of the wheelchair was pointing towards the
sky, my head was downwards pointing towards the steps, I had no seat belt, I
felt myself sliding out of the seat, there was a hand on my stomach holding me
in the chair, my son said it was his, he was holding me in.
Chris his friend tilted the chair backwards, he was somewhere at the top end
where the wheelchair handles are.
Eventually I was up the steps and in my daughters new flat.

After long time when I could move, my daughter showed me around her flat, the
nursery is beautiful, she let me feel virtually everything, matching curtains,
cot bumper, cot quilt, musical toys, matching wardrobe and chest of drawers,
nursery wooden chair, lamps etcetera.
Very big front room with safety gates and with toys r us in it I think, there
was every toy you can imagine, musical walk alongs with shape things on it and
swirly balls that rattled with learning shapes on another walk along, this big
dinasaur with holes to put balls in that run through tunnels and made tunes as
the ball travelled through to the dinosaurs mouth or tail.
Drumset that played a tune as my grandson danced on the mat and I was pressing
the cymbols, pressing these plastic shapes to make other noises.
A netted playpen full of plastic balls, plastic and wooden bricks, cars,
trucks, teddies, you name it they have it and my grandson passed them to me to
play with, he even whistles through a plastic recorder, he walks but falls on
his bottom after several steps, very forward, he is not one until april.
Her bedroom is like the size of two rooms together.
Big bathroom.
Lots of fitted small room sized cupboards, very good for storage of half of
those toys in living room lol.

I kept myself busy, helping with the washing up and folding clothes, also
playing with my grandson with the toys, loved the toys bit, as the big kid I am.

My daughter bought and cooked a gammon joint and served it with chips and
garden peas, next day we had ham and pineapple pizza.

My other grandchildren all came daily to visit me and I gave them their sweets
each day they came,

Coming down the steps to go home was a lot better, perhaps it was because they
learnt all the mistakes going up on first day.

I am glad to come home, I missed you all, my flat was cold, eerie and felt like
going in a haunted castle or mansion.

Now the heating has warmed my flat up it is back to being homely.

Welcome home to me, missed you lot madly.
