Hi Jenny, I was born in 1942 so I remember all that kind of living. Ration
books and dare I say it. The Black Market. Do you agree that we use to get six
or more weeks of lovdly hot sunny days. I remember when the pitch on the
roads use to melt and bubble up. You could fry an egg on the pavement.

Hi all ,I must be much older than you ,
I remember food rationing , very few sweets, cold bedrooms and a bath once a
week using the same water for all the family.Boiling the copper to do the
washing by hand and the smell of drying clothes if the weather was bad
