Hi Gary and everyone,
I would suggest that after using Ubuntu 8.04 for some three months anything else would be a downgrade!!!! I just love it. I had a few issues after some updates but I have ironed all of them out now and I have on all our computers here, except mu oldest HP Laptop. I have installed Puppy 4.0 and it flies. Xp used to take 7-9mins to boot and be ready for use. Puppy is useable just after 35 seconds. Uuntu takes just on 1min on the desktop while on our old IBM laptop A31 it takes just on 1,5 mins. Xp still takes over 9 mi9ns before you can actually use it!!!

Don't forget this Sunday our meeting at 2-5pm at the Radio station.

Looking forward to see the new gear too.
Regards to all
Ron

Hi Folks,
Just a quick heads up, we've been doing some netbook trials out at

Hi all,

just had a look at the mini 9 that comes with Ubuntu 8.04, then it says
or upgrade to that other operating system.
Could someone please explain the definition of the word upgrade because
I must definitely have it wrong...

Gary.
