I just read about a new type of memory that is supposed to be better than flash. It uses a little point to apply a charge to a specific spot on a membrane. A lower voltage through said point can read the state of the material. They say this will be better than flash, lasting longer and being less expensive to produce but take up the same or less room, plus be about as fast. They said they could use it to get cards up to 1tb. The current problem is that there is no set way to how the information is stored, like in flash everything is sequential but here it is not so algorithms have to be developed to read the information and the points that write the information to the membrane have to be downsized to less nanometers (in the prototypes they are 10nm but the company says it could get them as low as 2nm).

Have a great day,
Alex

Yes, the 32GB looks just like a 1GB. Hard to believe a 64GB
will be next.

Mike, is this 32 gb card the same form factor? How small is it

So far so good testing the 32GB compact flash card on the PK. I
have it
loaded with 18 countries totaling around 17 GB.
