Because it is an old legacy way of doing POI searches. Your supposed to do dot 4 first, then you can press space dots1 or space dot-4 to scroll through the list. If you enter the program and just do space dot-4 or space dot-1 the system seems to just pick a starting point at random, this is why you are getting strange results.


It is easier to just press F and scroll through the list.

Pressing F first presents you with a list and you can use first letter navigation, you can't use first letter navigation by using the legacy method.
