Yes copy it on to the storage card and install from there.

Hi list Some advice please,
I shortly will have to install gps 3.1 on my pk.
I already have the maps on the poi's on a flash card.
when I receive the 3.1 is it best to copy the 3.1.exe file on to the
same 
map flash card that I already have? thanks.
