Most definitely can you make your own routes. With the command R. O. you can make a manual route where you key in each turn and street crossing etc exactly the way you want them to be. There is also the replay function with a space q. this records your movement and you can, with the space w. make notes such as cross at 5th and Main, or turn left and cross 5th at fifth and main intersection. Then when you get back you can make a route from that replay session. I honestly haven't worked a lot with the making a route from replay but the whole idea of the replay is fabulous because in making manual routes you could forget to record a turn or street crossing. Hope this helps but they are both wonderful features to have at hand.
