Eric,

Everyone is different in the type of information that they would like
repeated every so often. I personally don't use the Multiple Repeat
Commands. I rather trigger them manually by using the one-handed keystrokes.
But, the type of things that I will trigger are A for Nearest Adddress, H
for Heading, X for Cross-Street, D for Destination and T for Next Turn if
there is a route open. Please refer to the Quick Reference Guide for the BT
Duplicate Keystrokes.

What one considers being counter-productive and one may consider being
useful is very subjective. I am personally of the type htat I will Record a
User POI at the front door of almost every building I visit, Bus Stops and
significant landmarks. I have submitted well over 1,000user POIs since I
started using the Sendero GPs over two and a half years ago.

Subject: [gps-talkusers] Repeat commands and user POIs

On the few occasions when I've tried using my sense nav in an unfamiliar
area, I never used any of the auto-repeat commands. However I think for my
trip to NYC I will try using them. What information do others have repeated
every 10 or 15 seconds in an unfamiliar area? What about a familiar area?

Also, while I was listening to the Sendero tutorial, I noticed the
instructor created a user POI when the sidewalk sloped down. It seems like
creating a user POI for every change in the terrain or obsticle in the
sidewalk would be counterproductive. When I'm on my college campus, I don't
even use the GPS most of the time since it doesn't know the campus. How
often do you create user POIs?

Eric
