Sendero just received a supply of custom PK straps last week. We have a
list of everyone who received the PK GPS before we received the new one
inch straps. You will receive the strap and a second Blue Logger battery in
the next week or so.
In addition to being wider than the original PK strap, ours has a belt loop
for the new Blue Logger case. The strap can also be converted into a handle
if you wish.
As far as the PK case, I have a version from the manufacturer and I assume
it is the same as the one being discussed. My understanding is that changes
I recommended have not been implemented by the manufacturer. For example,
there is male Velcro on the front edge where the joy stick is located. This
is very irritating to ones hands as you read the display.
The case does have a zippered pouch but other than that and the fact that
you can fold the lid underneath, I am not pleased with this alternate case.
I'll probably push to implement the half dozen improvements I think would
make a superior case.
