Hello all,

The map company Nokia is looking into purchasing is Navteq.
Here is the headline:
Nokia to buy GPS map company Navteq for $8.1 billion.

Sendero does not use Navteq maps except in Australia, so I doubt this will impact us too much. Trekker on the other hand uses Navteq maps, as does Google. It will be interesting if Google makes a counter bid so they have control over the maps they use or not.

Hello:

I noticed that Nokia has purchased a gps map system with a name like uoyteq, I read the article in yesterday's NY Times. A big part of the article spoke of the business decision being based on the map's points of interest being so large. I can not imagine a larger poi selection than we enjoy. Is it even possible?
