They wouldn't let me use my 2 Mtr. amateur radio handheld in spite of
the fact that they maintained a 2 mtr. ham radio repeater for years.

Am surprised that the DisneyLand security Nazi's didn't grill you about
your "Devices".  Well they aren't that bad but I had them ask me to turn
off my scanner when I was there some time ago.  They are really strict
about looks and what you can and can't wear at that place.
