Hi Mary Ellen,

I would suggest doing the upgrade from 3.5 to 5.03 in the following order:

1. 123 Reset

2. U for Utilities

3. I for Install KeySoft Extensions

4. Locate and Run "gpsuninstaller_pk_mpower"

5. You will be prompted to do a reset. Instead of performing a no-key
reset. I would instead perform a 456 Reset.

6. Now, repeat steps 2-4

But locate and install "gps_5_03_complete_install_mpower"

7. You should be all set to go now.

Kevin

Subject: [gps-talkusers] Having problems installing 5.3:

Hi!

Here is what I have done to install the 3.5 upgrade. I have done the reset
with Braille keys 1-2-3 held down.

Gone into the Utilities then applications program and run the gps
uninstaller.

Now I start the instalation program and first it says "The file gps.dll
which already exists is newer than the one you wish to copy. To copy this
file over press enter, to skip this file press space e. Ok so first I
pressed the space e. and after an instalation I pressed reset and went back
in the main menu and when I pressed N. I got the message that gps 5.3 was
unable to run.

Ok, back to square 1. I did another reset ran the uninstaller went back to
Utilities ap program ran the install pressed enter on copy the gps.dll and
heard the message Not enough storage is available to run this file.

Ok so I decided to do the reset with the 4-5-6 keys held down and basically
the same thing. I am missing something somewhere along the line but don't
quite know.

 what.

Thanks in advance.

Mary Ellen Earls
