Hello, Ann,
Well, since I know little about the special jargon of you Ham Radio types,
it never entered into my mind to check all possible inferences or innuendos
in meanings when it came to choosing a signature for myself. I wanted it to
be unique and to have some connection to my IM user name. In a way I am
sorry that my signature offends you, I did not single you out as the subject
of my indifference. However, I correspond with several other hammies, and
you are the very very very first to complain or even make a comment about
it. Might that in itself suggest anything to you? From the first time we
met, you have disliked me for some reason. I have and will continue to just
take it in stride, knowing well that it is impossible to be on friendly
terms with everyone I meet. But, I will settle for the 98 percent of those
who like me at least a little and find my sometimes caustic comments direct,
to the point, and sometimes even a little amusing.
In MSN Instant Messenger, the figures eight in parentheses are musical
notes, and the colon and right square bracket is a flying bat. In another
life I was known as Squeeky, the singing bat.
I would never ask you to refrain from trying to force your way of life or
jargon onto us list-posting E-mailers, and I would never try to force my way
of life or jargon onto you push-and-talkers. No way!! This world is big
enough for both us, believe it or not.
I just discovered something about D-B signing. If we are both right-handed
and sign into each other's left hands, we can go full duplex, both talking
and listening at the same time, at least until our brain cells begin to
overheat! Much better than ham radio, which can only work in simplex, one
way at a time, something like serial ports. Also, did you know that Skype
is also full duplex, can work with practically any operating system at any
connection speed, and that it and Yahoo Instant Messenger have great
fidelity?
And, that's 30 for today!
Walk in sunshine, swim in the rain

Hi all,
Excuse me, he was referring to the extraneous chat, and the fact that many do not change their subj lines to fit the subject they're talking about.
BTW, if you're going to use Ham Radio signitures, get it right will you. 88, or 88's is sent from men to women and means hugs and kisses. 73's means best wishes and can be sent to any one. 33's are sent between women or YL's and is the equivalent of best wishes. I'd really appreciate it if you would kindly refrain from making what seems to be a misplaced salutation, and could be mightily misconstrued by other guys.
