Hello everyone,
Here are the stats on the 2012 North America GNIS POI database that has been
added to the Sendero accessible POIS available with your Sendero GPS
products (including Mobile Geo, Sendero GPS on the BrailleNote and Sense
Navigation on your HIMS note takers. You can either log into your account
at www.gosendero.com or using Sendero Maps check for Updates and look in
section "User Submitted POIs".
North America GNIS POIs: This zip file contains the GNIS database for North
America. (Geographic Names Information System) is a separate database which
has information about: Trails, Tunnels, Valleys, Basins, Bays, Beaches,
Bridges, Canals, Channels, Dams, Falls,Lakes, Levees, Rivers etc. Last
updated, August 2012. [129 Megs]
GNIS1 States A - M 1.2 million POIs
GNIS2 States N - W 1.0 million POIs
For a total of 2.2 Million additional POIs.
