If anyone is interested, there is program out there called PDF creator which I
use. It comes up in your printers list and makes a pdf of the score in Lime,
you have to retitle the filename when you save it but it works. I can't
remember if I paid for it or not, honestly. But just a suggestion.

There are several. I have not done much research into any of them. I did
solve my problem though. It seems that Sharp Eye doesn't like it when the
scanner is on the other end of 35 feet of USB cable. It needs to be no further
than the manufacturer's cable. It was dropping the last portion of each scan
line. There needs to be a way in Sharp Eye to force it to close the frame
after each line, so that it captures all the data on that line before beginning
the next line.
I did experiment with Openbook, which does have the feature to close the
frame after each line, and everything works fine. I set the scan image save
format to TIFF uncompressed, and perform a buck scan-capture only the image,
and do not bother to process it. Then I open the image in Sharp Eye without
problem.
If you are looking for downloadable sheet music, I found several by
googling "sheet music pdf." I think sheetmusicdirect is perhaps the most
professional looking but I have not done any research into it yet.

I am trying to scan this little light piece for Cello and Piano, "Fairy
Tales." by William Squire. Unfortunately the page does not fit on the scanner,
and the last bar of each line gets dropped. I am also having a similar problem
scanning Haydn's Sonata in E Minor for Cello, but in this case the lines on the
folde out run all the way across the foldout instead of breaking in the fold.
I am thinking of using Openbook from Freedom Scientific to help solve
this problem. My idea is to download the PDF versions of these scores and use
Openbook to create "Scan images" from the PDF and feed the scan files into
Sharp Eye. I am wondering if anyone has done this? I do not want to pay for a
subscription to a downloadable sheet music site unless I have a viable solution
for processing them.
