Position your music cursor (the one selecting notes, not the one selecting
annotations) after the point you want the bar line to appear. Type CTRL-B.
A dialog box will pop up and give you several options for the bar line.
Just tab around and check out the options. When you press OK, the bar line
will appear before the selected note (unless you select the option to put it
at the end of the system.)
