Hi, David,

It is always a good idea to have someone who is sighted check your Lime file
to make sure that it is as readable as possible before handing it in as an
assignment for a grade or putting it in front of some poor unsuspecting
sighted musician to sight-read. We blind musicians have no fool-proof way
to avoid the overlap problems you described. However, see
http://www.dancingdots.com/tsgf3/limepagelayout.htm for some general
guidelines about formatting your Lime document to improve readability.

The shortcut to open the Systems dialog in Lime is CONTROL+Y. Make a
back-up copy of your Lime file before experimenting with the Systems dialog
and make sure that you are positioned on bar 1, beat 1, before proceeding.

Subject: [goodfeel] Annotations: Roman Numerals, Figured Bass

Bill or somebody,
The last couple of homeworks I've been completing using Lime, all the
annotations have been writing on top of each other, including exercise
numbers, but most importantly the RN/FB analyses I have to do after my
chords have been created. How do I give myself space in between the
annotations, so they're not on top of each other? Keep in mind, I've been
doing all my exercises on one big piece of music for each assignment, so I
don't have to create a new piece for every exercise in every homework. Is
this a wise thing to do in the first place, or should I do 1 exercise per
piece?
