[gmpi] email verification for gmpi list?

I'm getting an email verification request from
ewanorgu@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx when I send email to
gmpi@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Is this valid for this list or should I continue to disregard them?
