Subject: [GeolLLibre] GCDKit
Hello to all,
Sorry, I'll write a bit in English, so that Vojtech can understand.
I have a set of data with multi-elements analyses, and I'd
like to get a few plots, to have an idea of what is inside.
So, naturally, I have tried to use GCDkit, after all the
advertisements from JF! ;)
I found an old windows box, and installed GCDkit: ach, I
forgot that there is no package dependency management in
windows... I fiddled around a bit, I installed the latest
version of R, which did not work, and finally R-2.7.0, then
GCDkit2.3_for_R2.7.0. And it works, yes!
Now, my data concerns a tectonised skarn, with
regularly-spaced samples taken all the way across an orebody.
Rocks used to be metavolcanosediments in greenschists facies,
with some limestones, and a granodiorite intruding it. Plus,
worth mentioning, a tropical alteration phase.
Here are the title of the columns of my data set:
Hole_id,sample_id,x_from,y_from,z_from,x_to,y_to,z_to,lab_no_au
,sample_no_au,Au_FA_1_ppm,Au_FA_2_ppm,Au_FA_3_ppm,Au_FA_4_ppm,A
u_FA_5_ppm,Au_CN_1_ppm,Au_CN_2_ppm,lab_no_ma_es,sample_no_ma_es
,Pb_ppm,Rb_ppm,S_pc,Sb_ppm,Sc_ppm,Se_ppm,Sn_ppm,Sr_ppm,Ta_ppm,T
e_ppm,Th_ppm,Ti_ppm,Tl_ppm,U_ppm,V_ppm,W_ppm,Y_ppm,Zn_ppm,Zr_ppm
Au_FA stands for gold by Fire Assay; Au_CN for gold by
cyanidation. The rest is quite self-explanatory. A few
identifiers here and there.
I quickly looked across the GCDkit documentation, and it
appears that it is mostly intended for igneous rocks geochemistry.
The plot/profiler gives some good results, but I'd like to mix
different scales (elements vary in very different ranges).
Any idea of which kind of diagrams could be used for my concerns?
A+
Pierre
