I thought some more on the MM experiment. I have always postulated the
existence of an aether. Note it is defined as a hypothetical medium that
pervades all space.
Hypothetical means assumed, It can have no defined material properties. Other
than ELECTROMAGNETIC. That it provides a medium to conduct Electro magnetic
radiation. As a non evident material thing one cannot even presume that it can
move or flow in the material sense. (*qualification below)

It is presumptive of the definer of this definition to say it pervades all
space, giving it the dimension of infinity. It is more logical to say it
pervades all of the created universe, which is finite.

From the earth centre perspective, one could assume the possibility, that the
aether rotates around the earh with the cosmos. That MM could not detect this
movement simply means that they were wrong in assuming that the light beam
would flow with the aether. What logical reason could they have for making such
an assumption. They assumed that the aether had the same physical properties as
a material fluid. On what grounds? NONE. In any case, light does not flow with
the wind either

** One may possible theorise that the aether becomes physically and materially
obstructive to any material that approaches the speed of light.

Thus if the aether is rotating with the stars, around earth centre, out there
many times the speed of light, then the stars will experience no obstruction in
moving with it . It might in fact be but not necessarily so, that it is this
aetheric pressure that carries the cosmos with it. . Just as good as the other
theories anyway. And there is no known way of explaining the combined wave,
corpuscular nature of Radio waves. Maxwell s equations not withstanding. His
equations cannot have been solved or resolved, given the conventional
controversy over them ..
