Right O Paul.. Of course I was not saying that a liquid was not a fluid.. I
was, in a way , to those who should know, saying that it (the aether) was
analogous to a liquid, and not to a fluid, which of course covers many other
things, like gas for instance. I wanted to exclude the word fluid. My
subsequent conditions stated that.

But thank you for the alert.to clarify. I might just say that the analogy of a
liquid should stop short of allowing it to be fluid. I do not expect the aether
to have the "viscosity" that allows flowing motion willy nilly that a fluid
would have. This does not preclude it as a body having having a rotation, like
any solid might have.

But as Neville said. Its a completely new and unresearched entity. So far the
only properties we can say with certainty that it has, are those associated
with electromagnetism and gravity. I can dispute with impunity the claim given
in certain quarters of a mathmatical "impedance" . The number given could be a
property of the interface, and not the transmission line.

And even here people confuse the wave motion of mechanics with that of EMR.
Mechanical waves involve compression and rareification of a fluid.
Electromagnetic waves do not involve compression. The closest term might be
density, or even intensity. Its an entirely different "phenomena" to wave
mechanics.

Discussion on the composition and properties of an aether is almost as
difficult as a discussion on the composition and properties of an Angel or
ecktoplasm.

Philip.

4. That there is an aether which can be considered analogous to a liquid (not a
fluid) excepting that,
Come come sir, all liquids surely are fluids, as are all gasses and all plasmas.

Loved your pseudo science item -- I wonder did you find it at the same site I
once found? Each time you press the "Feed me another" button, another pseudo
science "paper" is produced. I was so impressed that I forgot to record the
address.
