If you can't find a suitable site near the cache, it's pretty rocky, check
the crest of the mountain further up.  There is a meadow towards the top.

  I am planning a backpack trip to get the Proffit Mountain Cache for the
Labor Day Weekend.  I plan on trekking up there, setting up camp for a
night, (either setting up camp befroe or at Proffit Mountain,will decide
after I start hiking.

  anyone feel like they want to try this one, and has a tent and backpack,
you can respond...
