Well put, Mark.

Considering the number of SLAGA members currently on the books, no one is
going to be completely happy with things all the time. We are all
individuals which makes us both special and irritating, sometimes
simultaneously. It's unlikely there will ever be an officer that doesn't
manage to set a few people off on occasion. It is also unlikely that some
of those people won't take things personally and react in ways which may
not be the most prudent. The snowflake turns to snowball then to avalanche.

While as a person, I respect the passion of the avalanche-makers (agree or
disagree, they do make us think sometimes), as a member of
SLAGA, I think we need to respect the intent of the organization and the
forums. This doesn't mean we can't discuss our views as individuals, when
we get together. It just doesn't have a place in organizational politics.

I admire the time and effort our volunteer officers put forth to keep
everything running. It is great to have a place for local geocachers to
work together to promote and enjoy the hobby.
