- Judi, A group of benchmark hunters are going. Everyone is welcome to join us. There is an event cache setup at: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=d46e219d-8880-479e-bbf2-7a0d874017ad I think the latest arrangements are to meet about 12:30 at: > Lets meet at 38* 38.703N, 090* 17.171W which is > approx. 146 feet Southwest of the center of the old > part of the history museum. This spot is also approx. > 78 ft. Northeast of the center of the Southwest > quadrent of the circle drive around the museum. After the dedication of the survey monument, we are going benchmark hunting but returning at 4:00 for Dave Doyle's (of the NGS) talk about surveying at the time of Lewis & Clark. Join us for part or all of the fun! I'm not sure how many are going to be there but I do know there are several out-of-town folks coming in. If you are going benchmark hunting and can bring your car, it will help us out. Thanks.
