- If I'm reading the public ledger report correctly, there is currently a $100.00 loss in the 2004 event category. Removing another +- $100.00 would be a $200.00 loss. (I think a $200.00 loss is pretty good considering the complexity of the event.) But if this is the case, then we must have had at least $200.00 in the account prior to the event. BUT what happens if the loss would have been much greater. Say $1,000. What do we do then? Does it come out of our pockets? Future events? If SLAGA is sponsoring the next event, I think the general members, not just the staff should be advised the groups financial risk before we dive in again. I understand that if the event would have created a profit then I would have nothing to say but compliments, and all of the staff certainly deserves a lot of credit for a world class event.. But I had some questions about this event on the first day it was announced at the IHOP breakfast get together and those questions still remain. Perhaps this was done already, but I think we should also consider our liability risk in the event someone gets hurt during a SLAGA sponsored event. Can we as members or officers be held financially responsible? **************************************************************************** Our WebPage!
