[GeoStL] Major Expansion My Topos, updates of My Trail and My POIs RE: Re: New Versions of my garmin maps

I just uploaded new versions (Windows/MAC) of My Topos, My Trails, and My POIs.
My website does not indicate the change but the links works:

Everyone should install the new versions.
My POIs: minor tweaking.
My Trails, many changes, particularly in the St. Peters and Hannibal areas.
My Topos now covers 100% of IL and much more of MO. There are about 200 megs of
additional maps. The Installer uninstalls old version and replaces it with
this version.
NEW: As of October 2009, there has been a major upgrade to My Topos. They now
cover all of IL and much
more. Tsnake made a transparent map set for IL. But they had some problems
with levels and zoom levels.
So (with Tsnake's permission) I first fixed those problems in the maps and made
them behave like my maps.
My maps were more accurate on hydrology-I have done lots of editing-and the
topo lines were smother.
So I then cut and pasted my maps into his. Then I added the maps I had for
additional areas. Then
I edited the maps for road crossing of large rivers and lakes so they don't
hide the roads. So now you
have this new set. I plan to add to it-I would like to get all of MO covered
next.
If you have Tsnake's transparent IL topos, you should uninstall them.
The file sizes are much bigger as the individual maps cover much larger areas.
I am not positive if old units like the 60CSX can handle that large of a map
segment-I would appreciate someone letting me know. The biggest segment is 11
megs.
Inserting my maps into his maps was very tedious and subject to possibility for
errors. I think I found and fixed them. But if you see a place with double
topo lines, let me know. I also think I got the major rivers and lakes to not
cover roads so you can see them. If you find a place where a major river or
lake covers a road, send me a waypoint.
If you find errors in the maps like a lake that is no longer there, send me a
waypoint so I can remove it. You can also send me a trace of something to add,
i.e., if it shows in GoogleEarth, you can trace it and email me the file to add
to the maps.
